If you want to cook, do not for the so called large elephant garlic.  The so called large elephant garlic do not taste great like the ordinary garlic.  They cannot be used to replace the ordinary garlic.    If you are buying garlic, always buy the one with much of dry and papery covering.  Avoid buying garlic that shows signs of sprouting.  It is an indication that such garlic is not properly dried.  To prepare a delicious food, try and get the best garlic you can afford to buy.  When cooking garlic, you should be aware that it mellows the longer it is cooked.  Also you should be aware that finer the shop the stronger the tase.  Also take note that you will get the strongest taste of garlic when it is crushed.  When you cook garlic, you will get a milder taste.
