Delicious SEOUL Story 2012 Summer delights from Bulgaria
For: Delicious SEOUL Story Cooking Contest Hello, we are Adjuma Team from Bulgaria. We love to cook and usually make different Korean dishes for our friends, with whom we watch Korean movies and dramas in the Bulgarian- Korean Internet Center in Sofia. We also organize various events for which our team prepares the food. We always cook as a team of three and without even only one of us, the team would not be the same. Since this is the year of the Olympic Games in London, we decided to show some Olympic spirit under the motto "The important thing is not to win, but to take part". The seasons in Korea are almost the same as in Bulgaria. Since the summer this year has been unusually hot, we selected 4 light, cooling, healthy and delicious Korean dishes. Of course, we added some typically Balkan and Bulgarian spices and ingredients to showcase our famous vegetables, yogurt and white brine cheese. These are the recipes for our 4 dishes: 1. We read that Oisobagi is another type of kimchi, loved by Koreans especially during the hot summers. The recipe is: 8 - 10 cornichons (kirby cucumbers) 1 -- 2 tbsp coarse sea salt, ¼ onion, scallions, chives, garlic 2 carrots, 2 -- 3 tbsp red chili pepper powder ¼ tea cup soy sauce, 1- 2 tbsp minced garlic ¼ tbsp ginger powder, ½ tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp sesame oil 2.
